As per the prevailing pass rules, the cut off of 1987 and earlier appointees are eligible for availing first class pass. Six months has passed since the implementation of sixth pay commission. Dealing pass rules, designation and such other things are the domain of the concerned ministries. Railway board is simply just sitting on this issues. It is simply an apathy on the part of the higher officials for the deliberate delay in issuing pass rules amendments and designation change. Those availing the first class pass benefits fear the crowding of their domain in compartments. Then, regarding designation, they want the stigma of the word "clerk" and "kalasi", invented and introduced by the british to be kept to the lower rung employees.

WHO SAVES THIS COUNTRY.

now 18 months are over no decision so far made on pass rules , whom to complain , only GOD can save us , so pray , pray , pray

why railway board taking that much time to issue new orders for first class pass rules while all other central govt. employees enjoying facilities. pay commission was implemented on 1.09.2008 itself but railway board is yet to release orders regarding first class pass

Well, it is easier for employees who have joined before 1987 to have a grade pay of Rs 4200/- and obtain FC pass.

Mamata didi see pay limit of Rs.7250/- for getting first class pass & way to reach to it at a glance base grade 1400-2300/5000-8000 for
staff appointed on 11 nov.87 or before 1.1.1996- 21 years of service in grade. staff appointed on 01/01/1996 onwards - 15 years of service in grade.(3) staff appointed on 01/02/1999 onwards - 18 years of service.in grade.why in equality & in justice maintained with staff appointed earlier, is there any justice in Indian Railway? I did not see till date.Moreover staff appointed on 01/02/1999 onwards made eligible for AC 3T pass in addition on 15 years service.Why deprived staff appointed prior to Feb.1999 we have a little hope of justice from you only as Mr. Raghvaih of NFIR & S.G.Mishra of AIRF are sleeping in GAHARI NEED.we will wake them in next election of trade unions. victim Staff of central & western Railways

I hope this is the first time in the history of Indian Railway the pass rules deleberateley delayed by more than 18 months after 6th CPC. I hope Rly. Board official are sleeping due lackness of our great union representative those were not botthere about railway employees they were bothers only for their own interest involved & supremo of railway is interested for own political interest. So only God can save the Indian Railways as well as Railway employee. Do.nt dredm for new pass rule.

It is matter of great concern for all the fraternity of railwat employees that even the lowest class employee of central govt is entitled for AC3T travel by Indian Raiways . Cancer patients pay for every thing including lifesaving drugs in cancer hospitals but railway ministry has provided traveling facility free of cost in AC3t. Railways provides more than 160 types of concessions to the passengers . but no body is bothered about the outflow of revenue ' but if the the question of providing of free priveledge pass in uppe class arise..You will find tat every body making hoopla that railway is being pulle toward the quagmire of bankrupcy. Management of Indian railways never recognizes this fact that unsatisfied employee cant serve well to the customers as wellas to the organization.

After 20 years service you can get voluntary retirement with full pension benefits. But regarding pass, you still have to live with second class pass.

i request mamata didi to interven in pass rules and give orders to rly bord implement the 6 th pay commission pass rules to implementbefore april15 of 2010.ma you are only the leader for railway employees .except you no body cont help the rly retired employees.if you do the work this is the milestone in history. every employee enjoing at the time of first class pass. they say this is mamata didi gift. so i request your good self plese do the justice for employees .

I have a serious concern in terms of discremination of railway employees when compared with other employees of Public sector and Government sector where authorities have formulated appropriate policies to offer adequate previleges in travelling by Indian Railways to their respect employees, then why the Indian railways can take initiative to treat its employees at par with others employees of other sectors.

My appointment of Date is 04.11.1985. My pay has been fixed Pay Band at Rs.10,560/- with Grade Pay Rs.2800 in Scale of Pay Rs.5200-20200 under MACP with effect from on 01.07.2009. Therefore kindly consider my request for the eligible for 1st Class Privilege Pass. Thanking you,
