I am a retired Railway Official, during 2005.
Now I want to join in the Railway Employees Health Scheme. But the Personnel Branch Authorities at Madurai refused to include me in the above scheme on the ground that the scheme is already closed. Kindly extend the scheme at least upto 31.3.2008 since many deserving railway pensioners were unaware of the goodness of the scheme.
I request the esteemed Railway Authority to give wide publicity also for joining in the scheme,  through radio channels , television channels and press media in regional languages. The mode of payment for the scheme may be entrusted with Railway Hospital directly for pensioners
At present as per the WHO’S recent report, in next 10 years those who would suffer from heart diseases of the world population, 60 % patients will be Indians.
Already both Dr. Devi Prasad Shetty a famous heart surgeon (Promoter of Narayana Hrudayalaya, Bangalore) and Ms. Kiran Mazumdar Shaw CEO Biocon, Bangalore have jointly proposed to build more Health cities in India to give best possible health care at affordable cost for more Indians.
Likewise a few philanthropic Institutions /Bodies are giving  good medical support in their best possible ways Even Totally Free for ailing poor in our country and thus fulfilling their Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR).
As the most vital Central Govt Organization the Indian Railways can do much more in health sphere to their serving/ retired employees by getting sponsorships from cine Actors, Indian cricketers , Medias, and other big Indian corporates
For various Heart ailments apart from regular therapy few Homeo Medicines are also recommended by cardiologists of Safdurjung Hospital and Sir Gangaram  Hospital in New Delhi . Hence I request yourself to strengthen the Homeo wing in every Railway Division.
